Carolyn Sue Scott Hargrove, 83, of Silsbee went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday October 12, 2020 at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont.  She was born on June 4, 1937 to George Adam Scott and Lois Pauline Whittington Scott in Newton, Texas.

 

Survivors are children, Tammie Harwell and her husband Richard, Carole Beth Sherrod and her husband Bill all of Silsbee and Sonny Hargrove and his wife Aleeya of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Stephanie Cleary, Ryan Harwell, Ben Harwell, Andy Johnston and wife Lisa, Erin Milstead and husband Lincoln, Floyd Hargrove III, Maddie Hargrove, Brock Sherrod and wife Rileigh, and Brice Sherrod; great grandchildren; Daniel  Cleary, Tyler Milstead, Alyssa Milstead, Ashlyn Milstead, Kylie Tittle and husband Dalton, Braxton Johnston, Hawk Johnston, Jett Johnston, Teagan Sherrod, Whitleigh Powell; and sister Lynda Wood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years Floyd Glenn Hargrove Sr, and brothers, Don L. Scott and George Pat Scott.

Mrs. Hargrove worked many years as a floral designer and then as owner/operator of KiddieLand day care of Silsbee where she loved all of the many children in her care.

She loved to travel especially with family and later with dear friends.  She was always laughing and enjoying life and being the life of the party. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Hargrove’s family and friends will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Farmers Funeral Home, Silsbee with service following at 2 p.m in the chapel. Her interment will follow at R. S. Farmer Cemetery, Silsbee.
