Houghton Janet A. Rantamaki, 83, a resident of the Arbor Green Senior Living Community in Houghton passed away Monday October 12, 2020, at UP Health – Portage Hospital following a short illness. She was born on May 6, 1937, a daughter of the late Alex and Charlotte (Hendrickson) Tepsa. Janet was raised in Houghton and attended the Houghton Schools. On September 14, 1957, she was united in marriage to Herman Rantamaki. The couple resided in Houghton and on November 6, 1997, Herman preceded Janet in death. Janet was a member of the Salvation Army in Hancock. She was a loving caring and generous person that would try to help any of her friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, her sister Martha Schultz and her brothers Ernie, Kenneth, Stanley and Arthur. Surviving are: Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
