Carol Sue Trapp Obituary

Carol Sue Trapp, daughter of the late Vesper & Marjorie (Cunningham) Binkley, was born on September 25, 1934 and departed this life on October 12, 2020. At the time of her passing she was eighty-six years and seventeen days of age. Carol was preceded in passing by her husband, Ben Trapp III; her parents; one great- grandson, Kyron Bogacz; one great-granddaughter, Kiera Edwards; and two sisters, Judy Jean Latimer and her twin Mary Lou Cernik. She is survived by her three children, Ronald & wife Vickie Trapp, Michael Trapp and Lauri & husband Terry Dahir; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Carol was born and raised in South Norfolk, Virginia. At the age of 14 she moved to Omaha, Nebraska. While in Omaha she met the love of her life, Benjamin Harrison Trapp III They later united in marriage in 1953. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage and to this union three children were born, all whom survive them. Together they raised their family Omaha until the children had finished their schooling. In 1987 they ended up at their lakeview home across the road from her twin sister, Mary Lou and her husband John in Linn Creek, Missouri. The fun loving couple truly enjoyed their retirement years at the Lake of the Ozarks and a few years later her sister Judy and her husband Bob moved to Linn Creek so they could all enjoy their retirement together. Carol loved to have fun in life and those close to her knew her by her infectious smile. She was a wonderful hostess with a talent for home style southern cooking and truly enjoyed the company of her family and friends. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to caregiving Angels at Lakeside Meadows and Hospice Compassus in Osage Beach, Missouri. They truly made her time there comfortable and enjoyable. As a loving tribute in remembrance this a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, great- grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Please extend an act of kindness, in hopes that someday kindness will be restored to the world. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Omaha, Nebraska. Service details will be posted as soon as possible. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
