Judy Thorsgard, 84, of Northwood, ND, died peacefully at home with her family on Friday, October 9, 2020. A private burial and ceremony will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to BeTheMatch.org (nationwide bone marrow donor program). Her granddaughter Elise, who held a special place in her heart, is employed by Be The Match.

     She is survived by daughter Kristen Johnson (Daryl) of St. Paul, MN and grandchildren, Elise, Drew and Dane. Proceeded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, son Bjorn, daughter Ann Elise, brothers Brian and Drew.

     She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Clem and Elsie (Birkel) Gallagher. After high school, she attended Ancker School of Nursing in St. Paul, MN, where she met Lloyd Philip Thorsgard. They were united in marriage on October 19, 1963 at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, MN.

     Judy enjoyed reading, foreign films and playing bridge with her friends. She will be greatly missed.
