Leonard Knepka New Hartford NY/ Sauquoit Leonard Knepka 56, of New Hartford and formerly of Sauquoit passed away after a long illness on Saturday, October 10th 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 1963 in Utica a son of the late Robert and Janie (Marano) Knepka. He was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School where he enjoyed being a part of the Basketball team. He then went on to study at the University Of Buffalo NY. Leonard was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. After school he became a top sales Representative for Rainbow Vacuum. Leonard’s favorite pastime was working in his lavish vegetable gardens and fishing. Leonard leaves behind one daughter; Cassie Adams of North Carolina. She was the love of his life and proudest accomplishment. He is also survived by a brother Robert Knepka Jr and his wife Cynde of Whitesboro, NY, five sisters and their spouses: Barbara Procopio of New Hartford NY, Donna and Rock Leone of Utica NY, Debbie and Mike Kain of Sauquoit NY, Antoinette and Eric Fletcher of Powhaten, Virginia and Helen and Larry Snow of Waterville NY, also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews, two dear friends Bruno Canistoba and John Wakeel who were always there for him. He will be greatly missed by all. He was predeceased by a sister Marie Zalewski of Utica, NY. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 Main St. Whitesboro. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Utica.
