Betty (Langenderfer) Byers, age 96, of Delta, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, October 11, 2020, at Swanton Health Care & Retirement Center.  The second oldest child and the last to pass away, Betty was born June 2, 1924 in Swanton, Ohio to Leo R. and Loretta (Casper) Langenderfer.  She was a graduate of Swanton High School and married Vernon Byers. 

Betty and Vernon were faithful members of the Catholic Church.  She was a dedicated Champion Spark Plug inspector for 43 years, retiring in 1990, when Champion moved out of Toledo.  She enjoyed camping, taking senior trips, going to garage sales, and taking long walks from one end of Delta to the other.  She also enjoying flower gardening and volunteered at the gift shop at the Fulton County Health Center.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Karen Klinedinst and Deb (Dave) Mohler; grandchildren, Jody (Jeff) Camp, Matt (Christine) Klinedinst, Mark (Kim) Klinedinst; Jeremy (Heather) Mohler and Monika (Cris) Johnson; as well as her great-grandchildren, Brody and Briley Camp, Talon Long and Peyton Long, Jenna and Paige Klinedinst, Kaleb and Wyatt Lewis, Annie and Emma Deffenbaugh and Taylor and Lexi Johnson; as well as 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; her parents, Leo and Loretta; son-in-law, Dave Klinedinst; great-grandson, Caleb Camp; and siblings, Junior Langenderfer, Jerry Langenderfer, Margie Miller and Mary Agnes Evans.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. at Marygrove Cemetery, 1750 N. Raab Road, Swanton, OH 43558.
