Rosalie Valero, 67, of Eldora, Iowa, passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, October 9, 2020 in the comfort of her own home.

Rosalie Duron was born on April 24, 1953 in Riverside, California, the daughter of Leonard and Irene (Martinez) Duron.  She attended school in California growing up.  In 1970, Rosalie was united in marriage to John Valero Jr, in Riverside, California. 

Rosalie was a hard-working woman and retired from Calvary Baptist School where she played many roles.  She was a teacher aid at the time of her retirement, but Rosalie was happy to help out wherever she was needed.  Her main passions in life were her family and spoiling her grandchildren. 

Left to cherish Rosalie’s memory is her children: John Leonard Valero, Joshua Karstine Valero, Richard D. Valero and Teresa (Kevin) Marie Carrigan; grandchildren: John Joseph Valero, John Leonard Valero Jr, Jacob Valero, Jared Miguel Valero, Javier Valero, Armondo Valero, Emily Valero, Edrien Valero, Eddie Valero, Andrew Valero, Destiny Sehon, Liliana Degennaro, Anthony Degennaro, Brianna Carrigan, John Carrigan; one great-granddaughter: Ellie Schon; siblings: Patricia Duron Sosa and Danny Gomez.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Irene Duron; two brothers: Raymond Cesenas and Paul Cesenas; as well as one sister: Irene Cesenas.
