<p>John Allan Ness, 76, of Brainerd, died Friday, October 9, 2020 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center. A private celebration of John’s life will take place at later date with interment at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.</p> <p>John was born October 13, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, the son of John and Alice (Simpson) Ness. After graduating high school and continuing his education, John started his career with NSP. He dedicated more than 40 years to the company and retired as a Business Representative for IBEW Local #160. John was a loving husband and father who made time to take his children camping every weekend, and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He resided in Cinosam for the last twenty years and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and focusing on his passion as a classic car enthusiast.</p> <p>He will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Norma-Jean (Johnson) Ness; sons, John and Jeff; grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, Wyatt, Melaina, and Skyler; and great-grandchild, Ayden.</p> <p>Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd. </p>Obituary
