<p><strong>It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Douglas Glebe on Monday, October 5th, 2020 at the age of 95.&nbsp; He will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 68 years Eileen Glebe and their children Kathyrn (Richard) Jackman, Gordon (Alanna) Glebe as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as brother William (Lilley) Glebe Jr.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his parents William and Bula Glebe, brother Floyd and wife Annie, brother Charlie and wife Kristie.&nbsp; Douglas was born and raised on the family farm west of Pickardville.&nbsp; When he was still in his teens he served in the Canadian navy during World War II.&nbsp; When the war ended he returned home to farm as well as doing various other jobs, such as in sawmills, coalmines, truck driving, running a grader, and working on the High Level bridge construction just to name a few.&nbsp; Doug was very community minded and served on several boards, he was President of both the Legion as well as Unifarm, he also coached baseball.&nbsp; He will be greatly missed by his family.&nbsp; Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 only immediate family will be attending his memorial service and interment.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice can be made in Douglas memory.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>
