<p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">Hancock, Maryland</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Mary Joan Mills, age 81, of Hancock, Md., passed away on October 5, 2020 at her home.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Born March 21, 1939, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she is the daughter of the late Howard and Nonsetta (Hobday) Stotler; and the widow of Frank Alvin Mills, who passed away September 25, 2002.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Mary worked for orchards in Hancock for over thirty years.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and shop for antiques; and she loved her animals.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; Mary is survived by three sons, Randy Stotler, of Shippensburg, Pa., Michael Breeden, in Germany, and George Breeden, Jr., of Hancock; three daughters, Sandra VanGosen, and Charlotte Zies, both of Hancock, and Michele Mummert, of Big Pool, Md.; four brothers; seven sisters; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers; and two sisters.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; A memorial service to honor Mary will be held at the convenience of her family.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21740</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">&nbsp; &nbsp; The Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, is assisting the family with arrangements.     Mary Joan Mills, age 81, of Hancock, Md., passed away on October 5, 2020 at her home.

    Born March 21, 1939, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she is the daughter of the late Howard and Nonsetta (Hobday) Stotler; and the widow of Frank Alvin Mills, who passed away September 25, 2002.

    Mary worked for orchards in Hancock for over thirty years.

    She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and shop for antiques; and she loved her animals.
