<p>Shirley Ella Catherine Kaetler passed away peacefully on October 4, 2020 in Summerland, BC at the age of 86. She is remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Eugene; daughter Sandra Templeton of Summerland, BC; and grandchildren Lia Wittal (Kevin) and their children Mackenzie and Brooklyn of Regina, SK, Matt Crosby (Nathalie Bazin) and their daughter Madeline of Summerland, BC, Tim Crosby (Michelle Sylvia) and their children Oakley and Ensley of Port Alberni, BC, Holly Crosby (Gordon Sedawie) and their children Harlow and Gracen of Summerland, BC, Becca Ask (Tyler) of Summerland, BC, Cory Burt (Joe) and their son Neil of Summerland, BC, and Amanda Templeton of Maple Ridge, BC. Sadly, two days after Shirley&rsquo;s passing, her eldest daughter Virginia Crosby of Summerland, BC passed away.</p> <p>Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a generous soul who spent decades volunteering with the Cancer Society and numerous other charities. She was an active member of the Aldergrove United Church. Shirley was an avid crafter with a special talent for sewing and crocheting &ndash; she was often found with yarn in hand no matter where she went. She was a vibrant, funny, and caring woman who was always willing to give her time to others.</p> <p>Shirley&rsquo;s Celebration of Life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Providence&rsquo;s Summerland Chapel, 13205 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, BC.&nbsp; The service was live streamed and a recording can be viewed&nbsp;by clicking the link below.&nbsp; Interment will take place at a later date at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Surrey, BC.</p> <p>Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society Southern Interior Region &ndash; Kelowna Office, 102-1433 St. Paul St., Kelowna, BCV1Y 2E4.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
