There are people in our lives who are like angels to us, Susan Ann Statti Zimmerman, 70, of Moon Twp., was that person to those she loved and to those who loved her. On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Susan peacefully passed into the loving arms of her Lord, from her home where her family was with her. Susan was born May 28, 1950, in McKees Rocks, PA, daughter of Alfred F. and Clara (Sacco)Statti. Susan will remain in the hearts and memories of her survivors, her loving and devoted husband of 49 years Michael Sr. "Mickey" Zimmerman, her three beloved children, Michael Jr. (Tramecca) Zimmerman, Daniel (Erin) Zimmerman and Michelle (Ralph) Guthrie, five precious grandchildren Anthony, Ella, Hunter, Seraphina and Bo, three dear step-grandchildren Quane, Diamond and Donald a cherished sister Robin (Wayne) Potts, caring sisters-in-law Cheryl Zorn and Tracy Zimmerman, dearest aunts Rose Berube and Jennie Metro, and endeared nieces, nephew, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother Alfred P. Statti, in-laws John and Georgette Zimmerman, and brothers-in-law Gerard Zimmerman and Wayne Zorn. Susan was lovingly devoted to her family and unwavering in her Catholic faith and it was family and faith that sustained her as she valiantly fought cancer in recent years. Susan had a beautiful smile and a warm personality which was evident in these places where she worked either as an employee or a volunteer: Walmart, Sewickley Hospital, and the Lebanese Club. Susan was an excellent cook and baker, known for many favorites especially her wonderful wine cookies which she so generously shared. Susan was also known for her collections of countless angels and hearts. Her choice to surround herself with these symbols of heavenly protection and true love reveals her very soul, now in perfect peace. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sherry, Dr. Chris O’Donnell, Dr. Stephen Tunick, Dr. Barbra Levcoy and all of the wonderful nurses at the UPMC West Cancer Center. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 8th from 4PM-7PM at Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA, 15001. Family and friends will meet Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church,1304 4th Ave, Coraopolis, Pa 15108, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30am, with Fr. Rich Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." Exodus 23:20
