Eva Sampson Obituary

Eva Sampson, age 95, of Mannsville, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2020 at Jefferson County Hospice. Eva was born December 26, 1924 in Sandy Creek, the daughter of Milton and Myrtle Kinsman Stewart. She attended Sandy Creek Schools. Eva was married to Ward Sampson on December 7, 1956 for 50 years, he passed away July 20, 2006. A previous marriage to Ernest Fone ended in divorce. Eva worked for the former Dairylea Cheese Plant in Adams for 34 years. She enjoyed Country Music, and followed her favorite local artists Mike White and David Olley. She was noted for her fudge, and devotion to friends and family. She is survived by daughters; Brenda Mullin of Mannsville, Elizabeth (Les) Berghorn of Rutland and Debbie (Tim) Sprague of Mannsville, and son Ward II (Sam) Sampson of Watertown, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great- grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by one son, Ernest F. Fone in 1993, her parents and 11 brothers and four sisters. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, October 8th at Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street Pulaski. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with burial at Ellisburg Cemetery following services.
