Richard James Jenson

Richard James Jenson the son of George C. and Martha (Appelt) Jenson was born January 17, 1930 in Seneca, Iowa. He died on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 90.<br><br>On July 20, 1951 he was united in marriage to Cecelia Anderson in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Armstrong. Dick worked for the Creamery in Ringsted and at DX Tank Wagon in Armstrong and then at Iowa Electric Light and Power where he retired in 1991 after 35 years. Dick served his Country in the United States Air Force.<br><br>For hobbies he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, loved horses, gambling at casino's and spending time with kids, grandkids, and cousins.<br><br>He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong and attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona and the IBEW.<br><br>Left to cherish Dick's memory are his wife, Cecelia; his children, Sally (Tom) Harmon; John Jenson; James (Sandy) Jenson; Joel (Sue) Jenson; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Don (LaDonna) Jenson; brother-in-law, Magnus (Margaret) Anderson; sister-in-law, Elna (Dick) Foreman; several nieces, nephews and lots of double cousins.<br><br>He has been preceded in death by his parents; George and Martha; Dorothy Jenson; and Leona Jenson Wulf.<br>

On July 20, 1951 he was united in marriage to Cecelia Anderson in Lake Crystal, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Armstrong.
