Psalm 23:4 Gerald Butler departed this life peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Gerald was born on October 6, 1953 in New Orleans, LA to the late Richard Butler and Juanita Butler. Gerald accepted Christ and was baptized by Reverend AC Daniels at First Israel Baptist Church. Gerald received in high school diploma in Washington and later became a certified welder for many years. Gerald was a very laid back, low key, funny person who loved his wife, children and family very much. Gerald leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife April Butler, 1 daughter Toi Comeaux, 4 sons; Javon Carter, Kadon Butler, Kylon Butler, Ja’Ceon Butler. His mother, Juanita Butler and 1 grandson Khyen Kelly. 1 sister; Lace(Adam)Buggs of Churchpoint, LA. 3 aunts; Catherine Butler & Alma Spears of Donaldsonville, LA and Hattie Creecy of Marrero, LA. 1 father-in-law; Cornelius Johnson of Donaldsonville, LA. 2 brother-in-laws; Corey(Adrienne) Johnson of St. Gabriel, LA and Adam Buggs. 4 sister-in-laws; Newanda Joshua of New Orleans, LA, Heather, Tiffany and Courtney Johnson of Donaldsonville, LA. Close friends; Jeoffrey Jones, Spencer Joseph, Dennis and a host of other relatives, friends, nieces, and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his father; Richard Butler, sister; Dale Moore, cousin; Yolanda Butler Harris, and good friend George Robinson, grandparent; Iran and Alma Douglas.
