<p>Leonida “Lani” Abara Cuaresma, 75, of Wailua Houselots passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on September 22, 2020. She was born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on February 20, 1945 and retired from the State of Hawaii, Department of Human Services.</p> <p>Preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Mary Abara; sister, Evelyn Branco and brother, Rudolpho Abara.</p> <p>Lani is survived by her husband, James Cuaresma of Wailua Houselots; 3 daughters, Paula (Tim) Moritz of Illinois, Corinne Cuaresma of Wailua Homesteads, Lisa Cuaresma of Wailua Houselots; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Orlando (Carol) Abara of Omao and William (Rochelle) Abara of Koloa; sister, Evangeline (Robert) Cuaresma of Kapaa; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>Private services were held with burial at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kealia.</p>Obituary
