<p>Ron Benoit fought cancer for 2-years, then rolled out of bed, hit his head, and died of a brain hemorrhage on Sunday, September 13, 2020.</p> <p>Ronald Benoit was born in Canada, raised in La Habra, California, and finished his life in Pahrump, Nevada. He was one of 6-children born to Leonard and Marguerite Benoit. He married Kathey Baird, his wife of 40-years, and they raised their older children in La Habra. </p> <p>In 1988, they moved to Pahrump when they and their partners purchased Astro Disposal. In 1995 their youngest, their niece Bonnie came to live with them.</p> <p>He was a proud and active member of Lions in both La Habra and Pahrump. Ron was President twice of the Pahrump Valley Lions, and twice he was the District Budget Chairman for the Nevada Lions.</p> <p>Words don't really explain what a fine man he was, and the hole he leaves in our lives. He was loved and respected by those he touched.</p> <p>He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marguerite Benoit, his sisters Linda Benoit Schiller, and Lenora Benoit Cunningham.</p> <p>He leaves his beloved wife Kathey, his children, William "Bill" Benoit (Kelli), Daleanne Benoit Hardwick (Jeremy), Bonnie Benoit Lynn (Aaron), and stepdaughter Julia Reineman. his Grandsons Blair Ezell (Morgan), Brayden Lynn, Kevin Benoit, Isaiah Salazar, Kevin Hardwick, his beloved grandson and caretaker, Trenton Morgan (Nadine), his sisters, Wendy Benoit Curb (Lisa) and Sharon Benoit Rhodes (Jim), and many beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends Ken and MaryJo Petri.</p>Obituary
