<p>Johnson, Roy Frederick</p> <p>August 13, 1947 &ndash; Sept 11, 2020</p> <p>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Johnson at the age of 73 years after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Roy was born in Queen Charlotte City and grew up in Nanaimo.&nbsp; Racing cars, fishing and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his passions in life.&nbsp; Roy drove a transit bus for the Regional District of Nanaimo until he retired.&nbsp; Predeceased by his wife, Judy Clay; father, Roy Frederick Johnson; mother, Margaret Bosent; brothers, Ervin Johnson, Larry Johnson and Thomas Johnson.</p> <p>Roy is survived by his sons, Roy Johnson and Ryan Clay; daughters, Rhonda Marcy and Bobbi Marcy; sisters, Marion Gordon, Julie Parisien and Patsy High; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many more family and friends.</p> <p>Our thanks to the nurses and staff of Oyster Harbour in Ladysmith for their wonderful care and compassion.</p> <p>As per Roy&rsquo;s wishes there will be no service.</p>

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Johnson at the age of 73 years after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Roy was born in Queen Charlotte City and grew up in Nanaimo.  Racing cars, fishing and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his passions in life.  Roy drove a transit bus for the Regional District of Nanaimo until he retired.  Predeceased by his wife, Judy Clay; father, Roy Frederick Johnson; mother, Margaret Bosent; brothers, Ervin Johnson, Larry Johnson and Thomas Johnson.
