Saves the ones he loves from painful last images that might endure for a lifetime.” – George Saunders Jack Ottenbite, also known as Jamie to family and Tiny to friends passed away peacefully October 2,2020 in Edmonton Alberta at 87 years of age surrounded by family. Jack was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan on December 24, 1932 to Joseph and Theresa Ottenbrite. He attended Whitby High School in Ontario where he met his wife and soulmate Joan. They were married 65 years this October 22, 2020. As a veteran in the Royal Canadian Airforce, Jack joined the service and served for 28 years. His career took his family from Ontario to Germany and back, where they finally settled in Cold Lake Alberta. During his career he was awarded 5 citations. Upon retirement, he started a handyman business and was known by many as the gentle giant in Cold Lake. Jack is predeceased by his wife Marion Joan Ottenbrite (nee Harris).
