<p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Alton Brashear, 70, a resident and native of Morgan City, LA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 29, 2020 at 1:32 P. M. at his residence.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Memorial Services will be held on Friday October 16 , 2020 at 11:00 A. M. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel&nbsp;715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will perform military honors.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Alton was a veteran of the Unites States Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Memories of Alton will forever remain in the hearts of his companion, Tina Collier; one son, Alton Castille; one brother, Raymond J. (Gladys) Ruffin; three sisters, Ora Lee Garner all of Morgan City, LA and Suzette Brashear of Lafayette, LA; his step-mother, Idela G. Brashear;&nbsp;a step-sister, Mary Poole of Morgan City, LA; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:22px;">Alton was preceded in death by his parents, William &quot;W.J.&quot; Brashear and Cassie Mae Cooper; his step-father, Edward Cooper; his wife, Lynn Brashear; a son, Fred Owens; a daughter, Leah Mae Owens; a brother, Ronald Brashear; his sisters, Gwendolyn Brashear Brown and Barbara Hall and a nephew, Edward Robinson.&nbsp;</span></span></p>
