Robert Dale Adcock Obituary

Robert Dale Adcock, of Ponoka, Alberta, passed away September 24, 2020.  He was born December 17, 1947, in Lacombe, Alberta.

Bob was a kind and loving partner to his wife Connie, who he met at a dance in the Crestomere area. He was a wonderful and dedicated father as the primary caregiver to his children. He was a gentle caring man, who was really good with babies and animals. He was a wise, generous, respectful, person and would help anyone and everyone. Bob had vast experience with many different occupations, including his own delivery service, he was a professional driver including long haul truck transport, working in construction, managing a Co-Op supply store, was mechanically inclined, and he was a MacGyver of sorts, with the ingenuity to create and work with his hands. He loved country living, dogs, horses, and music.

Robert is greatly missed and survived by his wife, Connie; his children, Keri (Bill) Brown, Kathy Fay Adcock, TJ (Sarah) Adcock, Jack (Nicky) Adcock, Jennifer Adcock, and Jeremy Adcock; his 16 grandchildren; his 6 great grandchildren; his sisters Violet (Eric) Darrach, Margaret (Neale) Ronald, Linda Rendle, and Kim Adcock; and his brothers Charles (Carol), Miles (Fay), Wade (Kathy), Sandy (Norma).  He was predeceased by his infant son Quinn; his sister Marie Warne; and his parents, Robert Glenford Adcock and Eliza Jane (Spink) Adcock.

A Funeral Service for Bob will be held at the Ponoka Funeral home on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion.  Should you be unable to attend the service in person, you may attend virtually by visiting this page at service time.  The live-stream viewer is located at the bottom of this page.  The video will  also remain on this page for 90 days following the service.

Due to the current pandemic restrictions, there are capacity limits. So, coordinating with the family would allow for better management of the required mitigation. However, all are welcome, so please join us in the celebration of Bob’s life.

Remember the dash placed between the years
from the beginning - to the end.
For that dash represents all the time spent alive on this earth,
and now only those who knew him,
know what that little line is worth.
