Funeral service for Marguerite Johnson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2020 at Meridian Mortuary with Pastor Brenda Torrie officiating; interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Meridian Mortuary. Marguerite Johnson, age 98, of Newcastle, WY died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Weston County Health Services. Marguerite Elaine Johnson was born July 9, 1922 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Olga Elizabeth Thomson Gilbert and Tracy Timothy Gilbert.  She was the eldest of three children. She married her sweetheart Keith LeRoy Johnson in San Antonio, Texas where he was stationed with the Army Air Corps.  She then followed him around from base to base.  They finally made a home in Osage, Wyoming where they raised their three children. Marguerite was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Newcastle, Daughters of the Nile and Eastern star holding several chairs in both.  She also was a member of the Osage Woman’s Club and did her part as superintendent of Sunday school in Osage. Her hobbies were oil painting landscapes of where her husband fished and worked, sewing the gowns for the different lodge events and loved her flower gardens. She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Les Burnham; husband Keith LeRoy; brother William T. Gilbert; and daughter Sandra Yvonne Johnson Worden. She is survived by daughter Patty Ann Johnson Klinker Johnson; son Kevin Dean (Alison Jean) Johnson; sons-in-law: Mike Klinker, Arthur Johnson and Mike Worden; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brother Ronald (Betty) Gilbert of Warsaw, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The family request that memorials be made in Marguerite’s name to the Osage volunteer ambulance service P.O.
