Mitchel Pace Richfield, Utah Obituary

Mitchel Pace

Loa, Utah - Our adventure with Mitchel W Pace, our hard working, fun loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many was cut short on October 2, 2020. We are so proud of how hard he battled cancer. He was a fighter to the very end. Mitchel passed peacefully at his home with his loving wife and family by his side. Mitchel was born to Barlow W and Millie Pace on May 22, 1952. He was an energetic boy that grew to be a loyal, generous and hard-working man. He was very protective of the ones he loved while being willing to tease or teach with equal zest. He was raised in Loa, Utah on the family farm where many values were instilled in him that he lovingly passed on to his children and all those lucky enough to spend time with him. He married his "Pretty Lady", VeeAnn Taylor on March 24, 1972. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on March 24, 1990. They built their life around their five children and the amazing family they have. He was very devoted to his wife and family; they were his pride and joy. Family to Mitchel was not defined by blood. He cherished the relationships he built with so many. After years of working construction out of town Mitchel wanted to stay closer to home and his family. With his wife they purchased and grew Loa Builders Supply for 30 years. He will always be known as a "fixer". It didn't matter if it was a blown motor, a ditch that needed to be dug, or even a simple tow. Many knew that they could count on him for help. Through love, laughter, and a lot of hard work they had a wonderful life together. Our gentle giant was an amazing man that will be greatly missed. We imagine that he is having a joyous reunion with his parents, grandparents, and brothers, Owen and Seth. He left his girlfriend of 48 years, his children: Gregory W (Keri) Pace, Wendy (Travis) Adams, Travis (Tammy) Pace, Keri Lynn Pace and Michael (Jakelle) Pace, 27 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and his siblings: Beth (Terry) Hunt, Ben (Neva) Pace, Gay (Darwin) Brown, Patty (Paul) Gottfredson. To honor the life of this great man funeral services will be held Wednesday October 7th at 1:00pm in the Loa Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday evening October 6th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday October 7th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the services. Interment will be in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
