<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;John Jacob Seyrek, age 88, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at his home.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Private Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Jeff Reser officiating. &nbsp;Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;John was born in St. Johns, MI on January 5, 1932, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Zabelka) Seyrek.&nbsp; He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer who enjoyed hunting and fishing. John worked for the State of Michigan as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He is survived by 4 daughters: Debbie Johnson, Cathy Chenny, Valerie and Alan Nelkie, April and John Steele; and his son John Seyrek.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his parents, son Steve, and brother Joe.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Online condolences can be made at www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com.      John Jacob Seyrek, age 88, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at his home.

     Private Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Jeff Reser officiating.  Burial will take place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI.
