Larry E. Friend, 74, of Peoria, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Peoria. He was born April 3, 1946 to Harold and Beatrice Friend in Canton, IL. He was preceded in death by is parents; brother, Ivan Miller and sister, Beverly (Ronnie) Shoemaker. He is survived by is son, Mark (Lisa) Friend; daughter, Carrie Friend; granddaughter, Alisha (Joe) Brownfield and his great-granddaughter, Remi all of Pekin, IL. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He has many friends and loved ones who will miss him very much. According to his wishes cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) in Hanna City, IL in his name. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co.
