Richard "Dan" McElroy
Richard Daniel McElroy, 73, of Wyandotte, Michigan, died on October 2, 2020 at Angela’s Hospice Home Care in Livonia, Michigan after battling Alzheimers. Due to COVID-19, a memorial will be planned at a later date to celebrate his amazing life. Daniel McElroy was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on April 28, 1947. He had a life that was full of accomplishments starting when he graduated from St. Pat’s High School to pursue a degree in social work from Eastern Michigan University and his master’s degree from the University of Michigan. He devoted manyl years in the Monroe schools as a social worker impacting many children’s lives. He was also the proud owner of Monroe Income Tax. He loved to work and kept busy, officially retiring in 2014. In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his family and friends, watch sports and play golf. He was blessed with a great life. Dan McElroy is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene McElroy and brother in-law Gerry Trudeau. Dan McElroy is survived by his wife Jennifer McElroy: Son Jason McElroy (daughter-in-law Theresa) and daughter Renee Villaire (son-in-law Shawn): Brother Patrick McElroy (sister-in-law Carol): Sisters Carol Trudeau and Gail Raby (brother-in-law Glen): Grandchildren Christopher, Jonathan and Grace: Godchild Shannon Raby: Stepchildren Jill Wegner and Aimee Jamison and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We know that our good Lord and all of Dan’s guardian angels have guided him this whole time and into his eternal home in heaven.Obituary
