Marina Kathleen Fine Quesnel, British Columbia Obituary

Marina Kathleen Fine

It is with great sadness that the family of Marina Fine announce her peaceful passing at home on September 27, 2020 at age 62, after a long and courageous battle with ill health. Mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister and a vibrant companion to many, many friends. Marina was born in Quesnel on October 17, 1957 to Gerry and Virginia Doherty. She moved around the province with her parents, settling back in Quesnel in 1984 to raise her family, and later returning to post-secondary studies. She loved fishing and travelling to warm and interesting places. She also loved to paint, but her great passion was her flower garden. She leaves behind husband Jon, mother Virginia, brothers Daryl and Jamie, children Tasha and Tyler and grandchildren Tyson, Brayden, Drew, Preston and Neveah. A special thank you to Dr. Judy Dercksen, the staff at Ambulatory Care in GR Baker Hospital and the nurses at Home and Community Care. A celebration of Marina’s life will be held later when we can all gather safely and share hugs and remember the wonderful person Marina was. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the GR Baker Hospital Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated.
