Norma Cameron

On Monday, September 28, 2020, at the age of 90, Norma Mae Bryerton Cameron passed away suddenly and very peacefully with her family by her side at Woodland Villa, Long Sault. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Marion Burns (Vic), Gale Wereley (Barry), Jennifer Dagenais, and her sons Ian (Natali), Brent and Scott. She was Gramma to 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, John Ivan Cameron (March 2016). Her eldest son, Ellery (Sue) (November 2016), and her granddaughter Leslie (April 2002). Norma is also survived by her youngest brother, Alan Bryerton (Frances). Born in Dundee, Quebec, she was the eldest child to the late Mina (Anderson) Bryerton (1999) and the late Cecil Bryerton (1981). Predeceased by her sister Lois Gwynne (April 2020), brother Robert (Bob) Bryerton (2011) (late Doreen), her sister Phyllis Morin (1997) (late Laurent), and brother Grant Bryerton (1970) (Sally St. Thomas (Jack). All that knew her marveled at her amazing talents. From her artistic paintings and sketches in all mediums to her beautiful creations and designs of wedding, birthday, and any occasion cakes. Her many talents also included seamstress and woodworking. She volunteered with numerous charities and was a proud member of Blessed Sacrament Parish and the CWL, where she was known for her contributions with church suppers, bake sales, concerts and rummage sales. A very special thank you to Woodland Villa staff members for making her feel at home over the last 6 years. Due to the current COVID restrictions, funeral services will be private. She will be laid to rest with her husband and son at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, St. Andrews West, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall (613-938-3888).
