Lillian Markhart

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Lillian L. Markhart, 74, of Hayden, Idaho passed away peacefully in her home the morning of September 24, 2020 with her husband Erv by her side. Lillian was born March 4, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is a former longtime resident of Scott City, Missouri. She was a member of the Scott City Women’s Club and local school board before moving to Hayden, Idaho 30 years ago. Lillian was an amazing, creative, artistic, crafty woman. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. Many remarked about her beautiful voice and artistic talents. She was a florist for 30 years. She loved being outside gardening in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She was beautiful inside and out. Lillian will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends, as well as her loving family. She leaves behind her husband, Erwin C. Markhart of 49 years of marriage; her daughters, Susan (Matt) Broadhurst of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Laura (Nevada) Jackson of Post Falls, Idaho; and three grandchildren, Isabella Markhart, and Jackson and William Broadhurst. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lillian Sanders; and her brother, Don Sanders all of Scott City, Missouri. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
