Eileen Gift Cotton, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017. She was born in East Alton, IL to the late Charles and Charlotte Gift. She retired from the City of Portsmouth, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tidewater Daylily Society. She is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Franklin Cotton; and two sisters, Anna Hamill and Adelia Dowdy. She is survived by her two sons, Steven Cotton and wife Bonnie and David Cotton and wife Barbara; a sister, Juanita Cotton; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Price and husband Jason and Daniel Cotton A graveside service will be held 11 A.M. Friday, May 26, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel Thursday from 6 – 7:30 P.M.Obituary
