It is with great sorrow that the family of Rena Ann Sypher wishes to announce her death on Saturday, September 26th, at Bobby’s Hospice. She passed peacefully in the arms of her loving daughter.

Rena was born April 26th, 1952 in Minto NB. She was a loyal and dedicated employee of 44 years with Crosby’s Molasses. Rena loved her job and enjoyed working with all of her co-workers. This is where she met her true, loyal, and lifelong friends who meant the world to her. She’d then proceed to work her other full time job of caring for her family. Cooking, cleaning, encouraging, worrying, protecting and loving. Rena worked relentlessly. She never stopped.  Every single day, she put her family first and defined what it meant to live vicariously through her loved ones. Her incredible selfless spirit was the foundation of the family.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Joe, son Stan, daughter in law Shannon, best friend and daughter Polly, son in law John, and her devoted grandson Brennen. Sisters Carrie Clark (Harry), Jeannie Atyeo, Sister-in-law Gloria Sypher.  Brothers  James (Donna), Charlie (Mary), Hayward (Randy), several nieces, nephews and special in-laws.

Rena’s family would like to thank all of the medical and support staff involved with the oncology department at the Regional for their professionalism and support along the way. They’d also like to thank Carole from KV extramural for her extreme kindness and supporting Rena at home. Finally they would like to thank all of the compassionate individuals at Bobby’s Hospice for helping Rena smile during her final days.

Rena has requested no formal funeral service or reception but a simple gathering with her immediate family. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
