David Levoy Skiles, 74, resident of Shady Hills, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on September 28th, 2020 in his home. Born on January 6th, 1946 in a rural town in Bledsoe County Tennessee he was son of Denton and Emma Skiles. He was a beloved and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife Judy of 41 years; he has 5 children 1 son and 4 daughters. He has 6 grandchildren: 2 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. He has 6 great-grandchildren: 3 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters. He was one of 13 children, 4 brothers and 8 sisters. He also was a beloved brother-in-law, to 1 brother-in-law and 2 sister-in-law’s and numerous nieces and nephews. David was a skilled and talented stone marble mason, a trade taught by his Daddy. He took pride in his beautiful and intricate masonry work that extends across the entire United States. He was a hardworking business owner who worked up until the year of his passing to provide and care for his loved ones. Aside from his work, David found joy in fishing, watching sports, working in the outdoors, traveling, spending time with his family, and the occasional trip to the dog tracks. He instilled kindness and love in every person who was blessed to get to know him. His loved ones will miss his humor, bear hugs, and warm smile the most. He was a compassionate patient man who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He taught his family the importance of forgiveness, and humility. He was the foundation for many, through all the waves of life. He was a true friend we could all turn to, one of our greatest blessings in life. He will be missed by many, but his beautiful spirit will live on through his family and friends forever. There will be a Private Celebration of Life for David Skiles at a later time with his family and friends.
