Mr. Nathan Hale Horton “Tex” age 81 of Boomer passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Ronald Howell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home prior to the service. 

Mr Horton was born August 23, 1939 in Wilkes County to James Royal and Buella Howell Horton. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Horton; two sisters Elizabeth Horton, Hazel Horton Carlton; three brothers, David Horton, Marshall Horton, and Royal Lee Horton; also a great grandchild Carter. 

He is survived by his wife of the home, Margaret Ann Kelly Horton; three daughters, Beulah Horton, Natasha Horton and Ashley Horton of the home; four sons, Michael Kelly and wife Ashley of Ohio, Nathaniel, Damion and Joseph Horton of the home; eight grandchildren, Temeka Mills, Megan Kelly, Mikey Kelly, Gavin Kelly, Julius Williams, Keandra Horton, Shalish Perkins, and Caden Dellinger; eight great grandchildren, Nova, Alexus, Serenity, Julius, Jr., Zavian, Matthias, Brooklyn, Julianna, Jarden, and Skielyr; a brother, Wilson Horton and wife Gail of Boomer.
