Gerald "Jerry" Kniola, Jr.

Gerald “Jerry” Franklin Kniola, Jr., 54, of Westville, passed away peacefully at 2:40 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Franciscan St. Anthony Health, Michigan City. He was born January 30, 1963, in Michigan City, IN, to Gerald and Gail (Block) Kniola. Jerry proudly raised two children and enjoyed spending his time with them, especially outdoors. He was known as strong-willed, brave, and loving. Jerry loved his wife of 24 years very deeply. On April 8, 1993, in Michigan City, IN, he married Tammy Lynne (Warren) Kniola, who survives. Also surviving are his two children, Lauryn (Geoffrey) Ulam of Michigan City, and Kyle Kniola of Westville; three sisters, Becky Imes of Michigan City, Julie (Jim) Janatik of Otis, and Lori Verboam of Michigan City; one brother, Brian (Angie) Kniola of Trail Creek; three grandchildren, Farryn, Adelie, and Nora Ulam; father-in-law, Coelus Warren of La Porte; and brother-in-law, James (Shannon) Warren of La Porte. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Scott and Michael Kniola; mother-in-law, Nellie Warren; and brother-in-law, Larry Imes. A private family gathering will be held.
