<p>Petrina “Pat” Tanner, 92, of New Castle passed away the morning of September 26, 2020 at Jameson Care Center.</p><p><br></p><p>Born on March 29, 1928 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Antonietta Camberotta Cherozzi.</p><p><br></p><p>Pat was married to her beloved husband, John Tanner. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1980.</p><p><br></p><p>Pat enjoyed going to Bingo and cooking. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Pat’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Pat was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her three children, Sharon (Robert) Bowan, Debbie (Ken) Moore, and John (Phyllis) Tanner all of New Castle, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by four brothers, Dom Cherozzi, Frank DeMatteo, Joseph DeMatteo and Peter Cherozzi, and six sisters, Annie DePaola, Caroline DeVincentis, Mary Brasile, Rose Quimby, Antonietta Ross and Connie Betka.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be on Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitors are required to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks and practicing social distancing.</p><p><br></p><p>A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus at 1:00 p.m. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
