Betty Jean Gray, 87, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully Saturday September 26, 2020. A native of Guilford County, NC, Betty was the wife of the late Paul Gray and the daughter of the late Oliver T. Childress and Pearl Fry Childress. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 5:00PM Saturday October 3, 2020 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Lambeth Chapel, Greensboro, NC. Survivors include her two daughters, Pandora Gordon Smart and husband, Kenny of Greensboro, NC, and Sherry Gordon Oakes and husband, Jimmy of Lincolnton, NC; two sons, Don Russell Gordon of Sophia, NC, and James F. Gordon, Jr. of Lexington, NC; seven grandchildren, Bradley Coffer, Lauren Josewitz, Amber Gordon, Ashley Gordon, Ariel Gordon, Haley Oakes, and Stephen Oakes; three great grandchildren, Sofia Coffer, Lily Ann Wade, and Paisley Coffer; one brother, Earl Childress and wife, Shirley of Roanoke, VA; and one sister Evaline Wright of Greensboro, NC.
