Amy Marie Terry Obituary

Amy Marie Terry, age 34, of Richmond, Kentucky, formerly of Soldier, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, at St. Joseph East in Lexington surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

 

Amy was born February 19, 1986, in Morehead, Kentucky, daughter of Theressia Knipp Terry and Gene Allen Terry, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky.  Besides her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Billy Thompson of Soldier, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Pauline Puckett Terry of Olive Hill, Kentucky; godson, Benjamyn Taylor Alley; a very special niece, Kalli Jo Hall; five brothers, Nathan (Stacy) Terry of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Michael (Jasmine) Terry of Richmond, Kentucky, Bill Junior Thompson of Muncie, Indiana, Larry Lee Thompson of Richmond, Kentucky and Scott Thompson of Olive Hill, Kentucky; seven sisters, Traci (L.A.) Alley of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Kimberly (Jayson) McGuire of Richmond, Kentucky, Jessica (Dougie) Terry of Richmond, Kentucky, Brittany (Jorge) Terry of Richmond, Kentucky, Melissa Fannin of Muncie, Indiana, Loretta (Jay) Boggs of Soldier, Kentucky, Tiffany (Raymond) Hall of Soldier, Kentucky; a lifelong friend, Johnathan Reynolds of Olive Hill, Kentucky and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

 

Amy was special from birth and touched countless lives in so many ways with her loving and carefree personality.  She graduated from West Carter High School in 2005 and participated in special Olympics events in Richmond, Kentucky, primarily in bowling and swimming.  Amy had a passion for drawing, she loved to draw dresses and butterflies.  She also enjoyed dancing and singing.

 

Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Maxine Rougie Knipp and her paternal grandfather, Willis Terry.

 

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.

 

Pallbearers will be Gene Terry, Nathan Terry, Michael Terry, Johnathan Reynolds, Joseph Barker, Jacob Hall, and Raymond Hall.

 

Visitation for Amy Marie Terry is from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.

 

COVID-19 guidelines as set forth by the state will be observed.
