Jerry Owen King, age 78, of Brookside, Alabama passed away September 25, 2020. Mr. King was an avid Alabama football fan. Anyone who knew him knew he was Tide and True. Mr. King was an umpire for 45 years and loved sports of any kind. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Horace King, James King, and Doyle King, Jr.; and sister, Shirley Eddy. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sharon King; sons, Shane (Rebecca) King, and Bryan (Joy) Church; daughters, Paula King, Shae (Neal) Hartley, Tracy (James) Simpson, Cathy Church, Bella Hobbs, and Leah Hobbs; thirteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters; Linda (Johnny) Franklin, Loretta Snow, and Melba (Elton) Campbell. Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 28, 2020, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville Alabama.. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville Alabama with Brother Guy Moore officiating.
