<p>Charles Berry, an 84 year old Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 8:22 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty MO.</p> <p>Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton.&nbsp; Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Trenton.&nbsp; An open visitation will be held from 2 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.&nbsp; Charles loved attending the Galt/Grundy R-5 Alumni Banquet.&nbsp; So much so he had not missed the annual Alumni Banquet since his Graduation.&nbsp; Memorial contributions may be left with or mailed to the funeral home to the Grundy R-5 Alumni.</p> <p>Charles Marion Berry was born January 9, 1936 near Galt, MO to Marion Alvin and Marjorie Lena (Allen) Berry.&nbsp; He graduated from Galt High School with the class of 1953.&nbsp; On June 6, 1954 he was united in marriage to Patsy JoAnn Cox at Hatten Chapel Church.&nbsp; Charles lived all his life in Grundy County.&nbsp; He was self-employed all of his life.&nbsp; He farmed near Galt for 30 years before moving to Trenton.&nbsp; There he started Berry Quality Builders and ran it for 20 years.&nbsp; Charles loved farming and later enjoyed golfing with friends.&nbsp; One of his biggest enjoyments was traveling with Patsy in their camper.&nbsp; He was known as a skilled 4 point pitch player and taught his kids and grandkids the game.</p> <p>Surviving relatives include his wife of the home, children Debra Hill and husband Michael of Maryville, MO, Diane Higdon and husband Ed of Maryville, MO, Allen Berry and wife Lynda of Trenton, eight grandchildren; Lora Downing and husband Tom, Lesley Schulte and husband Alan, Lindsey Gibson and husband Pete, Heath Higdon and wife Jayme, Tiffany Scott and husband Ben, Terra Feick and husband James, Derick Berry and wife Emmy, and Katrina Gamet and husband Nate, 18 great grandchildren, and Brother-in-law, Buddy Cox and wife Wanda.</p> <p>Those preceding Charles in death include his parents, his in-laws, Raphael and Maxine Cox, brother Weldon Berry, and sister LaVaughn Berry Kincade.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
