Sue Ellen Swearingen, 59 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2020 at home. She was born on March 5, 1961 in New Brunswick, NJ a daughter of the late James Clairmont and Patricia (Karten) Williams of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers Edward and Bradley Williams. Sue graduated from Brooke High School Class of 1979 and was a member of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. She was a librarian at the Schiappa Branch of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County. She loved teaching Sunday School and was an avid volunteer for the R.E.A.C.H. food bank of Follansbee. Sue was a selfless and giving individual who touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. In addition to her mother Patricia, Sue is survived by her husband of 33 years Paul Swearingen, one son, Michael and his wife Lucinda of McKee’s Rocks, PA; sister, Pattie (Williams) Patterson; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037 and again on Tuesday, September 29th from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating
