Ada Everitt Jarrett Obituary

Ada Everitt Jarrett, age 94, passed away September 22, 2020 in Santaquin, Utah. She was born December 7, 1925 in Moroni, Utah to James Alma and Elizabeth Ellen Everitt. She was the 6th of 9 children.

Ada attended school and graduated from Moroni High School. She met her sweetheart, Thayne Wallace Jarrett at a dance held in Moroni. They were married January 8, 1945 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Ada was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was also a member of the Chalice Club and enjoyed the women there.

Ada retired from Juab School District as a school lunch worker and bus driver where she worked for several years. Ada loved to work in her yard and garden, going on cruises and camping with her family and going south for the winters.

Ada will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Ada is survived by her 6 children, Michael (Marcia) Jarrett, Gaylen (Donna) Jarrett, Marsha (David) Christensen, Glade (Debbie) Jarrett, Sheila (Paul, deceased) Sharich, Gerald (Deborah) Jarrett, 24 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, brothers and sister, Leonard Everitt, Lamar Everitt and Connie Jones. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Thayne Wallace Jarrett, 2 granddaughters, Teresa Jarrett Scott and Terry Lynn Jarrett, brothers and sisters, Alma Everitt, Margaret Jorgenson, Renon Thomson Shelly, William Everitt and June Lund.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held on October 2, 2020 at 11:00 am with a family viewing 1 hour prior to service from 10:00-10:45. Interment will be at Vine Bluff Cemetery (1200 North 400 East, Nephi). If you wish to sit, please bring your own chair.

The family of Ada would like to thank The Seasons of Santaquin Memory Care Center in Santaquin, Utah for the love and care Ada received, also thanks to Brace Carroll and Anderson Funeral Home for their compassion and help at this time.
