Our son Ayshawn Kaseem Davis was born to Latoya Alston and Tarence Davis, Sr. on June 17th 2009. He was taken from us on the day of September 13th 2020.

He left behind four sibling Tayvon Alston, 18, Tahmya Davis, 15, Tarence Davis, Jr, 14 and Tyeshawn Davis, 13. Ayshawn was loved by his many friends and family, aunts, Tiffany, Lashana, Jassmine, Ashley, Kenya & Alisha. His uncles Zacharia and Joseph. His grandmother Youlanda and great grandmother Brenda. He had a lot of aunties, uncles and cousins that loved him dearly.

Ayshawn was only 11 years when his got called home. He was a wonderful kid. He was working at Jimmy’s Pizza at the age of 10. He was very determined to get what he wanted and he worked hard to get it. Ayshawn inspired so many people old and young. He was in the 6th grade. This was his first year in Knickerbacker Middle School. He was very intelligent and intellectual. Ayshawn also was the only child out of 11,000 people who lead the stop the violence march, He loved it. He enjoyed helping people in the community. He believed in nonviolence and doing what’s right. Ayshawn loved to box and play basketball with his friends. Most of all he loved to dance and eat. He was the best son anyone could have. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten. Ayshawn touched a lot of hearts and he left an amazing legacy. Let’s keep Ayshawn’s legacy alive.  Ayshawn wanted change in this world and he will get just that. He is resting in peace with his grandmother Adine Davis and his auntie Mercedes Davis, whom left this earth about 6 months ago. Ayshawn, you were young hero, superstar and leader, we will also miss you and keep you close to our hearts, we love you Ayshawn Davis.

Ayshawn had a great mind, body, and soul. He was killed and left in the cold. Ayshawn was a hard working young man. He would have done whatever it takes, including cleaning pots and pans. Our son didn’t deserve this and all because dumb people want to play hit or miss, now we can’t even give him a kiss. Our hearts are falling apart, especially knowing that you’re now alone in the dark and can no longer play in a park. We wish you were still here. When we heard the tragedy that happened to you we said “oh dear”. It’s crazy how our children get treated, now look they took a good one and the whole world is heated.

Ayshawn, 11 years old was killed and left in the cold. He would give you the shirt off his back if you were cold. My son, he took you from us, now he’s trying not to get on the police bus. Baby, we miss you dearly. I’m sorry the person who shot you wasn’t thinking clearly. We think about you every day. I wish you made it in this world to see another day, but now I have to put you to rest and lay. Our hearts hurt so bad, but I told them you were gonna help put him away and when it happened we were glad. My dearest son, I will see you again. Just know that you will always win.
