Martha L. Stevens Obituary

Martha L. Stevens, 79, of New Cumberland, passed, Thursday, September 25, 2020, at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born, September 29, 1940, in Marietta, OH., she was a daughter of the late Charles Rose and Dorothy Adams Noland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stevens.

Martha was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in St. Mary’s, WV., she was the proprietor of the former Mr. Ed’s Bar and Restaurant in Newell. After retirement, she lived her dream of owning her own farm.

Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chester. She was also a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Newell and a member of the Laurel Park Foundation.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Cassandra J. Wright of Dayton, OH., W. Edward Ritchie II (Doug Jenkins) of Georgetown, SC., Gregory Ritchie of East Liverpool, Jeffrey Ritchie of Chardon, OH., Stephen Ritchie (Deana) of New Cumberland and Rebecca Richie;  many grandchildren including, Catherine Ritchie and Theodore Ritchie. She will also be missed by many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Frances Animal Center, 125 North Ridge St. Georgetown, SC. 29440.

Visitation will be held, Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.
