Gordon Clarence Hamilton

Hamilton, Gordon Clarence, 82, of Milo View Lane, Yarmouth, passed away the morning of Friday, September 25th,2020. Born in Forest Glen, Yarmouth Co., on August 31st,1938, he was a son to the late Lillian (Allen) Hamilton and the late Melvin Hamilton. Gordie was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed sports, and as a young boy, he played softball, curled and played golf. He was a member of the Yarmouth Golf and Country Club and a member of the Yarmouth Lions Club for many years. He was known for spinning “tall tales” and telling jokes. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Raymond Gaudet and two nieces, Lynn and Patti, all of Bowmanville, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (Bain) and sister, Margaret Gaudet. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A graveside service will take place Friday October 9, 2020 at 2 P.M. from Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. His cousin Patty would like to thank his family and friends for their support shown towards Gordon at this challenging time. Memorial donations in Gordie’s memory will be made to the NS Lung Association.
