Mr. Robert Lee Macklin was born on May 13, 1944, in Madison County, Mississippi to the late Fred and Linnie Mae Macklin. He was the oldest of eight children. Three preceded him in death. On September 24th, 2020, God sent His angel and carried His beloved son home.
He was a member of the United Christian Church, where he remained a faithful and active servant until his death. He was on the usher board, the male choir, church can driver, Trustee, and Deacon.
Robert and Lydia were married for forty-three years and were together for forty-five in total. Robert worked for many years at Metal Trim as a painter and evening lead man. Later, he worked at Dogieux as a technician and truck driver. Everyone knew he was a "Jack of All Trades."
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 12-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, located at 886 N. Farish Street - Jackson, MS 39202
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Autumn Woods Cemetery, located at 4000 W. Northside Dr. - Jackson, MS 39209
