Shirley Ilene Gamble, age 77, of McCook, NE passed away September 23, 2020 at El Dorado Manor in Trenton, NE.

Shirley was born March 25, 1943 in Arcadia, KS to parents Ernest C and Dorothy Pearl (McCormack) Totman. Shirley was one of four siblings who grew up in Arcadia where she also attended school.

Over the years, Shirley worked as a nurse’s aide.  She was a member of the Baptist Faith, the Eagles Club and the Royal Neighbors.  She enjoyed crocheting, watching television and visiting with friends. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Nellie Carol; and her sister, Nellie Sigars.

Those left to celebrate her life include her son, Stephen Gamble of Winfield, KS; daughters, Tammy (Rajab) Echessa and Ilene Townsend, all of Springfield, MO; brothers, Leonard Totman, of Joplin, MO and Richard (Rita) Totman of Mulberry; as well as two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Pastor Clark Bates officiating.

A private family burial will be held at a later date in Arcadia, KS.
