Bernard Lee Reinsmith

Bernard Lee Reinsmith, 86, widower of Fannie Mae Long Reinsmith, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Johnson Mathers Nursing Home, Carlisle, KY. A native of Carlisle, KY, he was the son of the late Otis Jay and Josephine Hughes Reinsmith. He was a member of Shawhan Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army and worked in maintenance at Claiborne Horse Farm for 40 years. He is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Joe) Herrington and Karen (Charles) Ratliff; one son, Wayne (Judy) Reinsmith; five grandchildren, Christina Herrington (Ricky Hughes) and Dayton, Joseph Herrington, Jr. (Trina), Jared Reinsmith (Sarah), Jessica Robinson, Ashley Ratliff and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Reinsmith. Graveside services will be private with burial at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joseph Herrington, Nathaniel Herrington, Jared Reinsmith, Alan Abney, Ricky Hughes and Junior Sebastian. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Hancock, Dale Hancock, Edmond Boyle, Janice Sosby, Kay Purcell and Jerry Allen. The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
