Marlene Ann “Molly” Bishop Hutton was born April 24, 1934 in Fargo, North Dakota to Walter and Gladys (Swalley) Bishop. Molly passed away on September 22, 2020 at the Trinity Medical Center in Minot, North Dakota, after a 6-year battle with colon cancer. The strength and courage that she showed was nothing short of remarkable. Molly grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo High School. She completed her education at Moorhead State Teacher’s College where she graduated, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her mother, Ma Bish, was the ATO House Mother at NDSU. It was through Ma Bish that Molly met the love of her life, Bill Hutton of Towner, North Dakota. It was said that Bill was Molly’s favorite ATO. The couple was married in 1960 and moved back to Towner, to start their new life together. Bill and Molly have lived in Towner for the past 60 years. Molly will always be remembered for her love for her family, kindness to others, and baking cookies and “Grandma’s buns” for everyone. She enjoyed making donuts with her friends and writing cookbooks. Molly is survived by her loving husband, Bill; their 3 children, Sherri (Bob) Wenner, Scott (Kara) Hutton, and Sheila (Reid) Vosper. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bobby, Jonathan, and Allie Wenner, Will and Alana Hutton, and Kellen and Ryan Vosper.
