Arlene E. Sereni Obituary

Arlene E. (Virag) Sereni, 69, of Hamilton, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Born in Trenton, Arlene was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1969. For many years, she was employed with Hamilton Pediatrics and later joined Princeton Medical Center’s Billing Department where she worked until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony’s Parish for many years. Arlene loved to watch I Love Lucy reruns, listening to Barbra Streisand and Elvis music, and talking to her children every day. Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth (Svelta) Virag and her husband, Armand L. Sereni, Jr.; she is survived by her children and their spouses, Anthony J. Sereni and his wife, Kassena and Angela M. Schumacher and her husband, Gary; her grandson, Francis Armand Schumacher; her sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Henry Guire; her three nephews; and her loving family and friends. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony’s Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, 3816 East State Street Ext., Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. Due to funeral restrictions, the staff at the Saul Colonial Home, respectfully requests that all funeral attendees please wear a face covering of some kind during the services for Arlene. We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for your understanding. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Arlene’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation by visiting inmemof.org.
