Dr. Richard Paul Steinhauser, aka “the Honeybunny”, 72, departed this life and entered into the presence of the Lord on September 22, 2020. He was born Sunday, September 5, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Dr. Richard George Steinhauser and Violet Hecht Steinhauser. He attended Asbury University and graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972. He was a practicing optometrist for 48 years until his illness. Dr. Steinhauser was passionate about his patients and helping improve their vision. He was the owner of Sight Savers Family Eye Care in Richmond. He was a faithful member of Victory World Outreach Center where he also served on the Board of Trustees. He was a great Bible teacher and strong in his faith. His walk matched his talk. His wisdom, integrity, sense of humor, and love for his family, will be sorely missed. Most of all, his prayers and Godly example will be missed. Survivors include his adoring wife, Karen “Wiffy” Sparks Steinhauser; his children, Ashley (Jeremy) Collins, Richard II (Amanda) Steinhauser, Jason Sparks, Elijah Sparks, Jessica (Timothy) Akers; his grandchildren, Logan, Ethan and Harrison Collins, Richard III and Reagan Steinhauser, and Summer and Nevaeh Akers; his sister, Karen (Joe) Webster. Visitation will be held at Victory World Outreach Center, 206 Victory Dr., Richmond, KY on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Victory World Outreach Center with Pastor Chris Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Akers, Tommy Cobb, Kyle Hurt, Joey Isaacs, BJ O’Donnell, Tom Payne, Shawn Rosanbalm and Garry Sparks.
